...oh yes, and I'm a keen supporter of the Register of Artists' models, which I find very helpful. Go to www.modelreg.co.uk to see it and audtion if you can. This is probably the most authoritative modelling ssite, in this country at least.

I have worked with the orgaaniser of this site in the past but not for a long time now. I find myself well occupied though, particularly on a !:! basis with an artist who requires me for 2 days per week for very large drawings and paintings. This work is in a class of its own but I certainly earn my money.

Otherwise, like others, I'm kept quite well occupied with a diet of art groups, colleges and salons though August is traditionally quieter owing to the holidays. I do however have a fair number of bookings for next month and following, one series going right up to July 2011!

Like others I have done Internet searches to find the work and still do so. I have a good number of regular and repeat bookings and also benefit from word of mouth jobs and referrals. Once you get off the starting block this work generates its own momentum.

Hi everyone
As far as I can see, I am the only Scottish based model on the register. Apologies if this is incorrect.
If anyone has any artist, art club or college contacts in Scotland that they feel that they can share with me I will be obliged ?
I will do likewise with anything that I become aware with in England and Wales

I’m an artist/teacher in the Croydon/East Surrey area and I wondered if anyone out there might be interested in modelling for some of my daytime and/or evening classes next term. The classes take place in a purpose built art studio in a local independent school and the fee will be compatible with usual art college rates. I may also be interested in some private work. Hi Paul - I've never had any work through websites and keep clear of agencies. My approach has been to simply email art classes and once you've done one class well the repeat bookings and word of mouth gets you the work elsewhere. Kev
